Bill had his own band for many years (called the Tune
Dusters) and was well known in Northwestern CT. I remember as a child, Bill and
his father playing music at his father’s place in Barkhamsted. In later years
I especially enjoyed listening to Bill, Bob, Norman, and Jerry Wilcox play at
the Riverton Fair. They played there for 20 years.
When I was a kid, we lived across the street from
Bill and Ginger on Day Road. They kept a great garden. There was always a
saltshaker under a tin can near the garden. The kids would pick tomatoes,
cucumbers, and other vegetables and salt and eat them right there.
