(4410) John David Day b. 6/3/1917 d. 12/15/1999 m. Eleanor Frances Blass.They lived all their lives in western Connecticut. He was a great ball player, starting in high school. They say he could throw a ball so fast that the batter could not see it. It was like they were in a fog. They called it a fog ball, and that is how he got his name, Foggy Day. He was called Foggy all his life, even by his brothers. His ball-playing days ended when his pitching hand was damaged in a work related accident. He was a machinist and tool and die maker.
