(4406) Edward Brainerd Day b. 11/21/1907 d. 4/1/1975 m. Mildred A. Mangelsdorff. He was a career machinist. He lived and worked in Martinsville, New Jersey. He,
like his brother George, was a skilled hunter. Ed lived out-of-state, so I have
very few memories of him. One I recall took place at Uncle George’s home in
Vermont. The entire Day family had gone to help with the haying. Ed was living
with George and Margaret at the time. I guess most of us boys were impressed. We
challenged him to a race to the hayfield, and he whipped us soundly. We all
thought he was an old man. He was probably in his late twenties, early thirties.
Some of us were not even teenagers yet!
